What KnowledgeForge is, in the words and pictures you may use.
For writers, reviewers and anyone describing KnowledgeForge: a description you can quote, the facts, the editions and what they cost, the icon and screenshots to download, and a person to ask. Everything here may be reproduced without asking.
In one sentence
KnowledgeForge turns the documents you already have into a private library on your own computer that answers questions in plain words, every claim cited and one click from the page it came from.
In a hundred words
KnowledgeForge is a private document library with an AI that has read all of it. Drop in PDFs, scans, Office files, web pages, e-books, e-mail and recordings; it files each one with a summary and a category, finds the passage that answers a question, and writes answers in plain words with every claim cited, one click from the page it came from. Nothing leaves the computer: the models that read, search and write run locally. Pro adds a research assistant whose reports are checked claim by claim against their sources, your library inside Claude Code and Cursor, watched folders and your own models. For Windows and Linux; macOS in November.

Editions and prices
Every edition is one payment, not a subscription; a key covers every 1.x release, and 2.0 will be a paid upgrade at a discount for anyone holding a 1.x key. Prices are read from the same place the shop uses, so they are the ones in force today.
- Free
- $0, for as long as you like: libraries of up to 50 documents, one corpus of 10, one research run, no time limit.
- Pro
- on sale once, for two computers. Unlimited documents and corpora, the research assistant with its integrity check, recordings, the MCP server for editors, watched folders, your own models, the edit loop, more formats. For a third computer, another Pro key.
- Home-Lab Server
- on sale once, for a server and five desktops that connect to it, each with everything Pro has. An early-adopter price while the desktop bridge — the app using the server's GPU and library — is being built; it comes to every 1.x key at no further cost, and the price goes to list when it ships. More desktops at $39.99 each, added to the same key.
- Enterprise
- By contract: Home-Lab Server plus identity, per-library permissions, audit and the training pipeline, on the organization's own hardware.
- Refunds
- None: the 14-day trial is the evaluation, with nothing held back. Consumer-law rights are untouched.
- Support
- Product faults fixed free for every edition; help beyond that as flat-priced support tickets. Enterprise by contract.
The sell sheet says all of this on one page; print it to PDF from the browser.

How to say it
What we say about KnowledgeForge, so a description can be accurate without being ours.
- "A private document library: your files, read and understood on your own computer."
- "Every answer cites the page, and the citation opens it."
- "A research report checked claim by claim against its own sources, arithmetic recomputed."
- "Runs locally; works offline once set up; no account, no telemetry."
- Not "chat with your PDFs": it is a library you keep and ask for years, not a chat window over one file.
- Not "AI-powered" or "revolutionary": say what it does.
- No benchmark numbers we have not published the method for. The retrieval bench and its results are in the app's documentation.
